Losing my job in special communication solutions for adults with disabilities didn’t seem great at the time, but I’m so grateful for how it’s changed my life, and my daughter’s. She’s recovering from the shame and frustration she’d experienced as a failing special ed student, and I’m figuring out how she thinks, and how to teach her what the kids in her class are working on.
