As a tutor in the St. Louis Public Schools, I was responsible for literacy/language arts instruction for at risk students at Woodward Elementary and Woerner Elementary.I was a member of AmeriCorps and applied guidelines outlined in the curriculum approved by the St. Louis Public Schools for children who had not achieved benchmark.I found this work tremendously rewarding, particularly the infectious nature of the children; eager to learn and excel in areas critical to their overall educat.
