I am currently in college, studying to become a teacher for grades K-8. I have been in school for a year and will finish in another 1 1/2 years. Prior to this, I was a reading tutor at a local school for 2 months. I also have a daughter who is 13, and I help her with school when she needs it. Additionally, I have been substituting at the local schools in my area for the last 16 months. I am patient and understanding when the student is frustrated in an area of study; I have been there myself.
