My name is Dallin. I love teaching Spanish and have a wonderful grasp on the language. Some may think that because I’m not native, it wouldn’t be beneficial to learn from me. Although native speakers have wonderful accents, they have never had to learn Spanish as a second language and sometimes can’t explain why things are the way they are. Because of my years of study and my extensive knowledge, I am able to explain things clearly and simply for any level of learner. I graduated with a bachelor.

Hi! I’m Jacob, and I’d love to help you out as best I can!I’ve recently graduated from BYU with a double major in Film and French, and I love helping people learn about both of these subjects that I care so much about.Beyond just school, I’ve had a lot of outside experience in both of those fields. For film, I’m proficient in cinematography, writing, directing, editing, and production management. I’ve worked on multiple projects, many of which I’ve written, produced, and directed.

I’m going to jump straight to the point: I’m a language nut. I currently speak Spanish and Chinese fluently and I’m studying Arabic and French on the side as a hobby. I have taught English abroad for the past 7 years in various countries, but mainly in China where I worked as the Director of Studies for a school with more than 5,000 students. In the Fall I will attend Utah State University where I will pursue a Masters in Teaching Second Languages. Over the summer I would like to continu.

While in my undergrad, I tutored many other students who were struggling in both classes I was currently attending and others I had previously taken. I love talking and teaching. I grew up with a reading disability. I was told about it in the 4th grade, and was told I would never read well. I took this as a challenge, pushing myself to read extremely difficult books. I read Milton, Tolkien, and others while in elementary school. I got over my shortcoming, and excelled in class. I understand.

Let me teach you about computers/software (Mac/Windows), reading, writing, history, politics, screenwriting, producing, directing, shooting, editing, motion graphics…I live for these things. I’ve handled production budgets as high as $40,000, supervised as many as 29 cast and crew on one shoot, done the film school thing, worked on the camera crew of a feature film (Redemption: For Robbing the Dead). I love math. At USU, I have studied math ranging from Math 1010 all the way to Calculus 3. I have also studied some statistics. I am able to show how math all relates to general principles to help with basic mathematical logic. I am a one-on-one learner and teacher. If you need help with math I can help you out. If I don’t understand something I will figure it out and help you in the process..

I am the oldest of 3 children and the oldest of all my 20 plus cousins. I have spent my whole life teaching and being an example for those younger than me. When I was in elementary school through high school, I was involved in tutoring in reading and sometimes even math. I went to college for 3 semesters in Virginia and while I was there I tutored statistics for my university. I am now attending Southern Utah University and am volunteering at a middle school to help with a special education clas.

I have been tutoring for the past four years as a private tutor, an online tutor, and as a tutor on a college campus in Utah. I have tutored College Algebra, Algebra 1 and 2, Pre-Calculus, Quantitative Reasoning, elementary math, middle school math, and mathematics for Elementary Education majors. I have worked with many students of all ages,several who were nontraditional or who had learning disabilities. I love working with students one-on-one and have a double major degree in Elementary Educa.

I came back to school after a successful contracting career for the last 20 years. I am finishing a Bachelors in Psychology and intend to go directly into a PhD program.
