I am a licensed math and science teacher, and have experience with students with special needs, especially ADHD and dyslexia. I have worked with sixth grade through adult. I currently do math intervention with a local school district.My objective with most students is to make them self-reliant learners, and gain the confidence they need to be successful in college and beyond. I adapt my approach to the individual student’s learning style, and expect my students to prepare for our sessions. I.

I have spoken and taught French for more than 20 years. I have lived in France for three years. I have a very holistic approach to teaching French and applied this method to teaching middle school children. I was hired by the Milwaukee Public School District as a Reading First intervention teacher to provide struggling readers in grades K-3rd grade with additional support and instruction. I administered both formal and informal assessments, determined students’ instructional needs, and designed lessons to help students grow as readers. During this time, I helped teachers implement research-based best practices in the five areas of reading identified under the Reading First grant.Now I am teac.

I have taught in a small private school (2.5 years), nannied for 8 families, and worked at 4 day cares. Tutoring on the side is fun for me. I love kids, and teaching to see them grow and grasp the concept is a thrill to me. I am an accountant and business major for 14 years and love working with people. I currently teach accounting at a local college to a variety of students and love it! I am patient, find different ways to present the topics, and believe in working together in class or outside of class to understand the topic at hand. Reading a book about a topic can be beneficial but actually doing problems and relating it to a real life scenarios, I have found help the students.I have realized over the years.
