My teaching career began in 1986 as a fifth grade teacher at a Catholic Elementary School in Tuscaloosa, Alabama after earning a B.S. Degree in Elementary Education from The University of Alabama. I moved to the Tuscaloosa City School System teaching fourth grade. In 1995 I earned my Master’s Degree from the U of A. I have also earned a Highly Qualified Status.
