I have taught Kindergarten through 3rd grade for the past 30 years. I believe each student learns in their own unique way. It is my job and personal goal to find the best possible tools and resources to help each student learn and succeed in his/her own unique way. I will use a caring, relaxed, and fun approach to help your child succeed in their studies..

I have always wanted to be a teacher, since the 2nd grade, when my teacher inspired me so much that I wanted to touch lives the way she had touched mine!!! She was my inspiration and I truly enjoy being able to help a child come to the realization that they CAN DO IT!!! Some students just need that little extra boost to get their complete potential out. I currently teach Kindergarten, but did my student teaching in a 5th grade class, so I have experience in both ends of the grade levels. I am.

My career began as an English teacher in Cheltenham High School, a suburb of Philadelphia, PA. I am a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and also attended two years of graduate school there, majoring in English Education with a minor in Social Studies.

I received my Bachelor of Science (cum laude) degree in 1977 from Ball State University.My Masters in 1983, also from Ball State. My degree is in Elementary Education with a math endorsement. I taught mathematics exclusively for all of my thirty-eight years in a classroom.My first five years I taught in a seventh and eighth grade setting where I was the only math teacher in the school. I have learned a lot informally about reading and comprehension. As part of my law school training, I had to learn to write well, read with comprehension, and be able to express myself both verbally and orally. I’m interested in conveying this knowledge to my students, although I have no teaching experience per se. My name is Steven and I am bilingual in English and Spanish. I have 9 years experience in Spanish and have visited Mexico on multiple occasions. I do not have a college degree but I am in the process of obtaining an associate’s in business management. I have a plethora of customers that I deal with on a regular basis that speak Spanish only. Chemistry can be a challenging subject for many students due to the conceptual nature of the material. However, once it has been mastered, it can be fun. I am a firm believer that there are no “stupid” questions.
