I have been an elementary teacher for over 30 years. I have taught grades preschool to six and I have taught education courses at the college level to train primary teachers. I have tutored in reading and math as well as acted as a mentor for college students. I believe that the best way to learn is to understand the student’s learning style and to design lessons that will build upon that learning style. I am good at Math. I took a Chemistry class at Dover High School, and got a B in that class.I was involved with Dover Adult Learning Center for a year. I worked with an Asian student who took an ESOL class. I let him to ask me if he does not understand anything, and teach him if he does not know what he has to do in that class. I helped my Indonesian friends with their homework when I was studying in college. I hold a teaching English as Foreign Language certificate from the BLI.I hold my Ba.
