Hello, I taught first grade for 18 years. I especially enjoyed helping children to begin reading and writing and to help them to really understand math concepts, with the use of lots of manipulatives. I also loved really getting to know the children and watching them love learning. Finally, I very much enjoyed the camaraderie of working with the support professionals. (Reading coordinator, special ed teacher, etc) We were a team that put together the best possible programs for the children..
