While the pace in which I teach a student varies from person to person, my approach generally is the same. The most effective way students learn is through “discovering” the answer themselves and gaining a complete understanding of the concept. When a student initially begins finding the correct answer to something, I challenge them to explain their process so that there isn’t one or more misunderstood step that happened to lead them to the solution.
