I have two adopted (adult) children, a daughter who taught herself to read and a son who struggled and struggled. This led to my gaining experience in understanding teaching methods.I began working as a paraprofessional substitute in the Bloomington District and worked with students with a variety of special needs. I spent some time working with autism students in Minneapolis. After getting a short call teaching license, I have taught as a substitute in Richfield, Bloomington, St. Louis Pa.
