I am a retired intelligence officer with with wide experience in almost all of Latin America and Southeast Asia. My principle duties included writing timely and tangible reports on a variety of subjects for policy makers. I proofread and analyzed raw intelligence for possible inclusion in finished intelligence reports. I also taught in Spanish foreign liaison officials effective reports writing. Hello,My name is Mrs. Nancy A. I have taught in the Battle Ground School District for 25 years. I have a BA in Elementary Education from Washington State University. I also have a secondary degree in Early Childhood Development from WSU. I have taught kindergarten, first, and second grades during my time in the district. I was born in Lima, Peru to American parents studying there. We later moved to Geneva, Switzerland where I was enrolled in a small village school, learning French. I have an extensive teaching/tutoring background in both Spanish and French. I taught Conversational Spanish at Olympic College, Bremerton, WA, for 10 years. I was also a Spanish and French Tutor there previously. I was able to put myself through college by tutoring these subjects and assisting in the Foreign Language Department. I.

I began using SAS in graduate school in 1992.Over the 20 years I have been using SAS, one of my roles has been to mentor people at many levels of SAS experience. I have worked with beginning SAS programmers who are just starting out and mid-level programmers who would like to sharpen their skills or increase the efficiency of their code. My BA is in Photo-Illustration. I taught Portrait/Commercial Photography at the community college level, have worked as a commercial photographer and videographer/producer. As a lover of history, both American and world, I chose to major in History with the University of Maryland. I have studied Ancient Roman and Italian history extensively, both academically and hands-on. I have traveled extensively throughout Italy, touring many ancient sites, thus providing me with a unique perspective of the culture and history. I have also studied WWII and toured the beaches of Normandy. US History and Social Studies are also both of interest to me. I have visited man.

I enjoy meeting and working with anyone who wants to learn and who wants to enjoy doing it! Besides formal university coursework in German language and literature, I learned German in Germany, living with a German family. I taught college-level German language (spoken and written) for three years in the US, and used German as my second language for PhD studies at Vanderbilt University. I have more than five years of tutoring, teaching, and training experience with a diversity of adults and youth on topics such as ESL, writing, political science and international relations at the University of Washington, health training with villages in Africa, computers for business and projects, local dance and theatre, and service learning with Seattle Public Schools. Losing my job in special communication solutions for adults with disabilities didn’t seem great at the time, but I’m so grateful for how it’s changed my life, and my daughter’s. She’s recovering from the shame and frustration she’d experienced as a failing special ed student, and I’m figuring out how she thinks, and how to teach her what the kids in her class are working on.
