I have been an educator my entire adult life and am devoted to educating our youth. After retiring as an instructional designer, I relocated to Las Vegas and have worked part time as a substitute teacher with CCSD and a private tutor with a few of the local tutoring companies. My focus has been to teach 2nd through 6th graders math and reading. Hello! I originally moved to Nevada in 2006 and taught elementary PE for 4 years. In 2011 I moved up to the high school level to teach PE and coach HS football. After teaching HS for a year I realized that my calling was at the elementary level, and that’s where God wanted me to be. So in August 2011 I moved to Casablanca, Morocco to teach elementary PE and it was one of the best teaching years in my young career. I recently moved back to Las Vegas this July to teach elementary PE at a public ch.

I am currently attending school to become an elementary education teacher for K-8. I have a nephew with autism and have helped him in his schooling as he is home schooled. I have had success with him by adapting my teaching methods to best suit him and his needs. For example, he was having a hard time with the letters b and d and in order to make it easier for him to recognize, I told him a b looks like a big belly, and that starts with b, and a d is a backwards b. This seemed to help him recogn.
